Los Angeles is Moving!

By Ted Reiff and Jeff Cockerell

Well, actually, not all of L.A. is moving -- just us!

TRP recently signed a long-term lease on a new retail warehouse in Los Angeles. After five years at our Pacoima location, we have secured a larger, more attractive and accessible location. One of the customer benefits at this site will be its size – the warehouse has over three times the floor space of our present location, with unlimited parking and a huge lumber yard.

Planned features in the new location include special displays to showcase new materials, better inventory organization throughout, and “green incentives.” For example, you might get a discount for riding your bicycle to the store. Also under consideration is the idea of hosting e-waste and recycling programs for the convenience of customers.

The new address is 3015 Dolores Street, Los Angeles, 90065. That’s just off San Fernando Boulevard between the Los Feliz Avenue and Route 2 -- adjacent to Glendale, but within L.A. city limits.

TRP will take occupancy in September and immediately begin installing telephones, data lines, pallet racks and other fixtures. All materials from future deconstruction projects will be delivered to the new warehouse, to avoid the expense of moving them twice.

Since moving all our materials from Sutter Avenue to Dolores Street is time consuming and expensive, we are offering 75% off on selected materials at the Pacoima facility throughout the month of September. Be sure to take advantage of the many bargains.

TRP is hoping to open the new warehouse on or about October 1, but a specific date has not been set. (Watch for our announcement of the Grand Opening.) In any case, if the move has not been completed by October, we plan to open both locations for business.

TRP’s goal is to create a place where the people can shop and find what they need with ease and comfort. We are excited to become a part of this vibrant community and look forward to assisting new customers and making lots of new friends.

Ted Reiff is President of TRP. Jeff Cockerell is Los Angeles Warehouse Manager.
